Re-opening tower top visiting to the public and introduction of boating
facility in the lake at the famous Anna Nagar Tower Park will be an added
attraction.
The spacious park with its water fountains, greenery, and skating
spot and open air theatre makes it one of the most happening places in Chennai
city. The park has a huge crowd especially on weekends and public holidays.
From top of the 138 feet high tower in the park, one can get a beautiful bird’s
eye view of the city. But unfortunately entry into the towers not allowed any
more.
Anna Nagar Tower Park is regularly renovated and well maintained by
Chennai Corporation Zone 5. Local area residents hope that the New Year 2013
brings a positive change by re-opening tower top visits with better safety and
security checks and launching additional facilities.
