Speedup Civic Work In AE Block

It is reported that the storm-water drain (SWD) work along 7th Street, AE Block has been going on at a snail’s pace and it is incomplete at several places. Residents pointed out that this was the major contributor to the slush and mud that is found on the roads after the rains. 

Chennai Corporation has put up barricades around the open spots. Corporation officials maintain that more than 70 per cent of the work has been completed. 

The incomplete underground drainage work irks AE Block residents. Sources in the Corporation said that they would expedite the work at the earliest.
