Transgenders in Chennai celebrated Diwali in an enjoyable manner at
Indian Community Welfare Organisation-(I.C.W.O) located at 18th Main Road,
I-Block, 6th Street,Vallalar Colony, Anna Nagar West.
Around 25 transgenders from different organisations participated in the celebration by sharing sweets and burnt crackers. Speaking on the occasion Mr.A.J.Hariharan ICWO, Secretary stated that ICWO is committed to address human right violation among transgenders and ensure life with quality and dignity.

Ms.R.Jeeva of Transgenders Rights Association, said, that this is the first time ICWO is organising an fulfilled event to celebrate Diwali festival with family and friends. Ms.Priyanka Sen, a transgender said that she was emotionally moved and felt warmth and honoured by participating in the celebrations at ICWO.
