Tree Crashes On Moving Vehicle

A part of a huge tree fell on a moving lorry on 16th October 2012 near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and 20th Street in W-Block  at Anna Nagar Western Extension.

 The van was damaged in the impact. The driver of the vehicle did not get hurd in the incident. The front wind screen of the vehicle was smashed by the huge heavy branch.

 Cable and electricity wires got cut due to the accident and measures were carried out to set right the cable connections.

Thirumangalam Police arrived at the spot and made necessary investigations about the incident.

 Luckily the incident did not happen during school hours because the road is used by many school students.  Within a short time the accident spot was cleared

1. The photograph shows the weak part of the tree which gave up leading to the accident.

2 . The center and top portion of the vehicle got damaged in the impact .

3.  The rear portion and dangling cable wires which got cut after the branch fell on the moving vehicle.

There are many dangerous road side trees in Anna Nagar which are to be felled in a bid to prevent road accidents during storms.

This will ensure safety of motorists and pedestrians.
