Metro Rail Bans Sticking Of Posters On Pillars


The Chennai Metro Rail officials has advised the general public not to stick any kind of film posters, advertisement notices and banners on the surface of the elevated pillars along 100 Feet Road.

 Warring notices in both English and Tamil on unauthorized advertisements on metro rail structures has been placed at MMDA Colony and in Vadapalani. 
Metro Rail sources highlighted the fact that pasting of posters is severely punishable under the Indian Penal Code 1860 and Tamil Nadu Open Places (Prevention of Disfigurement Act of 1959).
