YRC - Women’s Rights Awareness program was recently
conducted by B.S Ajitha ( Madras High Court Advocate ) at Shri Krishnaswamy
College for Women, Anna Nagar.
During the programme information
about Women Rights in Acts was mentioned. Women’s dowry deaths and
preserving family dignity was highlighted.
The programme also focused on women
getting be paid for their work in houses.
The speaker mentioned stopping gender
discrimination would solve many problems in the society. Dr. J. Chandrika,
Assistant Professor of Shri Krishnaswamy College for Women stated the entire
programme was very useful for the students.
