Dr. Republica Sridhar,Medical Director of RMD Pain and
Palliative Nursing Home was awarded Dr. K. S. Sanjivi Award’ jointly by Ekam
Foundation and Udhavum Ullangal on 8th September for her good
service for cancer and hospice patients for the past several years.
The award was presented by Girijia Vaidhayanathan (Principal
Secretary to Government, Health and Family Welfare). Dr. Republica is specialized
palliative care.
She has trained more than 65 nurses and 10 doctors in
palliative care. Dr. Republica has conducted about 1000 free medical camps in
various areas.Dr. Republica is conducting palliative care training at RMD IGNOU
Community College.Dr. Republica is a visiting Palliative Care Physician for
Adyar Cancer Institute Since 2006. She is a President of Chennai Association of
Palliative Care, life member of Indian Association of Palliative Care and
International Association for Hospice & Palliative Care and member of Asia
Pacific Hospice Network.
