It was an interesting hour for the
students and faculty of Shri Krishnaswamy College for Women, Anna Nagar who
lapped up letter & word the noble message spread by Dr. P. S. Sreemathi
H.O.D Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery K.J Hospital and Post Graduate
Centre to help save a little heart who is less affluent through contribution
towards the cost of surgery.
Dr. P. S. Sreemathi has a rich experience spanning
39 years, during which she has performed over an 11000 cardiac surgeries. Her
“Heart for Hearts” Charitable Trust has been instrumental in this selfless
venture of hers.
Dr. P. S. Shreemathi motivated the students to render a
helping hand for the noble cause. The students were not only overwhelmed by her
inspirational talk but also pledged to contribute their very best towards
helping others.
The college Principal Dr. K.P. Malathi Shiri welcomed the
gathering and pointed out the need for a humanitarian approach to social responsibility
of the student community by citing Dr.Sreemathi as an unsung heroine. The
program was organized by the NSS Unit of the college.
