According to Chennai Corporation official sources, all main roads in
Anna Nagar Western Extension and East Anna Nagar would be re-laid with
concrete. It is reported that about 30 roads in Ambattur and Mogappair will be
blacktopped.
Corporation of Chennai
will begin relaying about 1,105 interior roads at a cost of Rs. 100 crore. All
zones in the city limits except Anna Nagar will be covered under the work. Anna
Nagar, however, will have more cement concrete roads. Chennai Corporation
officials stated that the new roads would last about two decades
