founded in 1975 at Chennai. It was registered under the Society Act, 1860 and
also recognized by the National Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi and Tamil Nadu
Ovia Nun Kalai Kuzhu (Art & Culture Department).
TACIA was initiated with
strength of 300 aspiring artists with a vision of promoting and encouraging
young & enthusiastic artists to facilitate development of art and culture
among general public.Subsequently, through TACIA, the ‘Pallavaa Artists
Village’ was founded in 1991 by Dr.B.R. Annapillai at Padappai neat Tambaram,
Tamil Nadu.TACIA has conducted Annual Exhibitions, Artists camps, Art demonstrations,
Competitions & Seminars across Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata etc
with the main aim of promoting art & culture in India.
TACIA requires
financial support and encouragement in order to continue our service to the
society. Tamil Nadu Government needs to reform the Tamil Nadu Ovia Nunkalai
Kuzhu for helping artist’s development. We would request the public and
corporate to buy our exhibits and encourage artists. We assure that our
paintings would certainly adorn your reception halls. We hope that someday,
someone will acknowledge our sincere work and help to take TACIA to a global
arena.
