Chennai's First Ever On-Air Fundraiser For Animals

On Friday evening, 13^th July 2012, Chennai city residents can tune in and participate in the first of its kind Radio fundraising programme for animals. This initiative is organised by The Blue Cross of India in association with Chennai Live 104.8FM. Sathya Radhakrishnan, Joint Secretary of Blue Cross of Madras, stated that 

“We look forward to using this platform to raising awareness on compassion towards animals and more importantly providing an avenue to people who want to help animals. 

Host of the show and animal lover RJ Disha Oberoi says, "Usually people don't know where their donations are going, whether food, medical expenses or others, callers can choose to pledge their funds toward their chosen cause live on-air."Interested people can dial 42421048 to pledge their support in cash or kind on Chennai Live's evening drive-time show between 7 to 8pm, 13^th July.
