Suburban Railway Stations Need More Passenger Friendly Facilities

The photograph shows the roofless narrow foot over bridge at Palavanthangal Railway Station. The approach road to the station and also the path below the vehicular subway is dirty and not properly maintained.

It is reported that most of the suburban railway stations along Beach-Tambaram section and Central-Gummidipondi section requires better passenger friendly facilities.

Train passengers are concerned about less train services, poor maintenance of station platforms and lack of ticket counters to clear the heavy rush of passengers, especially during peak hours.

Train passengers hope the Southern Railway officials would take necessary action to solve the hardships faced by the travelling public.
