Facilities For Physically Challenged Persons In Metro Rail Stations

According to Chennai Metro Rail sources, facilities for Physically Challenged persons would be provided at stations based on Guidelines and space standards for Barrier Free Built Environment for Disabled and Elderly Persons". 

Metro Stations would have signage’s within and outside the station to guide the persons, non slippery floors and well lit passages, bumpy tiles to alert customers who are blind or have low vision that they are nearing the edge of the platform, induction loops at ticket counters for hearing impaired passengers and steps with anti skidding tiles for easy and safe access.
