Executive Committee Meeting Conducted On Caste Census

Tamil Nadu Vettuva Gounder Sangam, Chennai Branch Executive Committee meeting was held on 1-5-2012 President Mr. K. Soundararajan, M.Com., B.L., welcomed the Executive Committee Members and Special invitees. 

With regard to Socio Economic and caste Census the following resolution was passed. It was resolved to inform the members about the caste census enumeration proceedings by the Government and request to register their caste name only  as "Vettuva Gounder”  not to register or not to inform the enumerators, the names of  sub castes like Kattu vettuvar, Pillai vettuvar, Machadi Vettuvar etc. or any other sub caste.

 The District Collector / Census Officer may be informed that suitable action / instructions may be issued to the Enumerators to register caste only as 'Vettuva Gounder.
