Overflowing manholes are a huge problem. But the Metro Water Board
officials use jetting machines to clear the manholes.
The Chennai Metropolitan
Water Supply and Sewerage Board is taking all the necessary measures to ensure
the sewerage system functions properly.
Officers of the Board have noticed that
the solid wastes and plastic wastes entering into the sewerage system are
causing obstruction of the flow of sewage, which results into sewage overflow.
Metro Water Board officials conduct regular checks and clean blockages so as to
prevent overflowing of drainage water on the main roads.
