The intersection of NVN Nagar, TV.Nagar link road with 100 Feet Road, at Thirumangalam junction is turning to be a risky spot and those passing and crossing at this point are feeling the need for a signal or speed breaker. Pedestrians cross the pint daily amidst great risk, for vehicles passes continuously. Motorists keep moving without giving a chance for pedestrians to cross.
Be it peak hour or non-peak hours pedestrians find it difficult to cross and wait for a long time until the speeding vehicles pass by.
Even if there is signal, the presence of a Traffic Police is essential to regulate the vehicle movement. A traffic police at Thirumangalam junction is a good idea, says the public.
