Thinking Day Celebrations Of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Thirumangulam Campus

The Thinking Day celebrations of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Anna Nagar, GPRA Thirumangulam campus, Chennai-40 was held on 22-02-2012 in the school campus with various activities. Joy in Thinking together, serving, giving, helping and working for others were the ideas behind the activities of the held day camp held for Scouts, Guides, Clubs and Bulbuls on the occasion of thinking day. 

The programme actually started a week before in the form of collecting donations as part of the social service. A remarkable amount of clothes, food items and stationary items were collected. An amount of Rs.8735 and all the materials was donated to Balavihar, a home for the mentally retarded children based at Kilpauk. The days programme started with a all faith prayer. It was followed by a awareness programme on road safety and Go Green by Scouts and Guides. 

An awareness march by students was held with banners and charts in the CPWD residential complex , advising two wheelers to use helmets and four wheelers to use seat belts. This was followed by Shramdaan prohgramme. Scouts and Guides cleaned the CPWD campus to remove plastic. Clubs and Bulbuls cleaned the school campus


 There was fun games and singing contests. Scouts and Guides had musical chairs, Clubs and Bulbuls had lucky corner. Refreshment was distributed to all. A drawing competition on the theme clean surrounding for Clubs and Bulbuls and the theme Green surroundings for Scouts and Guides were held. The School principal B.Vaithilingam was thanked and appreciated for the encouragement and support. On the whole, it was a happy, successful, thought provoking Thinking day celebration at  Kendriya Vidyalaya, Anna Nagar.
