The prevent the vehicles from turning fast into Poonamallee High Road from 100 Feet Road, below the Koyambedu flyover, speed breakers have been installed. The speed breakers have been placed to slow down vehicles as many pedestrians cross the road.
The speeding outstation buses taking the bend below the Koyambedu flyover has become a cause of worry for residents of the area.
Given the heavy volume of traffic on the Inner Ring Road, especially as buses move at high-speed the corner bend is very dangerous.
Cars and two wheeler riders don t follow rules and take right and left turns very casually. The installing of a speed will reduce accidents and is helpful for people to cross the road.
