Metro Rail Staff Help Pedestrians To Cross

With the one way traffic system in Anna Nagar, the Chennai City Traffic Police will only be happy to get all the help they can in managing it.
There are metro rail workers who are lending a hand, quite literally to help pedestrians cross at important junctions

.These workers of the Chennai Metro Rail are taught about the various hand signals and also on how to handle the public.Apart from helping regulate traffic, they  also help pedestrians cross the road safely.

This gesture has been received well by the public. The police department is only happy to have additional manpower to manage the ever growing traffic. The metro rail staff  reach their designated signal and get to work. Some of the signals that they help manage are Thirumangulam, Blue Star, Round Tana beides others.

The programme is a way to spread awareness about road safety too.The public needs to co-operate too to help ease the traffic situation. All we need is self-discipline. If only we just follow the road rules, the traffic flow will be smooth.
