Median Removed For A Wide Driveway

The center median along Anna Nagar Second Avenue road was removed at various places, with the aim to ensure faster traffic  movement.

With a view to ease congestion many parts of the center median along Shanthi Colony 4^th Avenue Road has also been removed to have a wide opened the road. 

The plan to clear the dividers has drawn a mixed reaction from the road users. 

A divider would helps to streamline vehicle movement.Traffic department has placed divider at intersections to regulate traffic and for pedestrian crossing. But the lack of a road-divider has made the stretch prone to accidents, if the motorists are not careful. 

The removal of road dividers in Second Avenue Road for the smooth movement has actually annoyed pedestrians. 

Though rash driving, indiscipline and poorly-lit roads are also the causes of road accidents, traffic police have reached a conclusion that the dividers are narrow busy roads are obstacles and  needs  immediate removed.
