Storm Water Drainage Construction

The Chennai Corporation is constructing storm water drain network, in the low lying areas to prevent rain water stagnation. Construction of storm water drains under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).

Section 176 of the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919 entails the Corporation of Chennai to provide and maintain a Sufficient System of public drains throughout the city.
