Beach Clean Up For A Safe Marine Environment

The Environmentalist foundation Of India (EFI) is an environment conservation group focusing on result oriented projects. Part of their Sea Turtle conservation efforts EFI started their season long Beach clean up program called “Clean For Olive Green” along the east coast of Chennai. 

This program aims at ensuring clean nesting grounds for Olive Ridley Sea Turtles. The other projects of the Environmentalist Foundation of India are Sparrow Reintroduction, Lake Conservation , Herbs Restoration, Urban Eco Responsibility, Zoo volunteering and Eco Bags. 

The cleaning sessions will be organised on all the Sundays in the same timings as mentioned above until end of Sea Turtle nesting season, mid-April, 2012. The program “Clean for Olive Green” will be covering the entire stretch between Periya Neelangarai to VGP peace temple.
