Today modernised jetting machines are used by the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB).By using the jet rodding machines and desilting equipment, Metro Water board is able to carry out waste removal in an effective way.
In a bid to prevent frequent sewage blocks and overflow, Metrowater was operates jet rodding machines and desilting machines to remove sewage blocks and silt from the manholes.
Ever since High Court banned manual scavenging, CMWSSB has been procuring desilting machines. The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) now uses modern machines to remove silt and blocks from the sewage network.
