Celebrating The New Year With The Poor Children

A team around seventy people from Chennai with their friends visited an orphanage of Mentally challenged inmates  to extend their support for a new leap of life to them and to get more confident to live in this wonderful world.

Around  140  inmates  and 40  staff members  become  happy and cherished when 70 youngsters with their family members from Chennai  under the leadership of Uday  Metha entered the AKSHAYAKSHETRAM ASHRAM, DURGA SAMUDRAM which established n 1966,   to  celebrate their New Year. 

The  day  was  very special for all for all the inmates of  Ashram in a different way.  When the whole world   rejoice and celebrated  the advent of New year. On this occasion   Sweets, Snacks, Bed Sheets besides other monitory  support  to the inmates. 

The Chennai Team  were so happy when all inmates of Ashram  says  “HAPPY NEW YEAR”  in Chorus. On every  new year day  the Management and the inmates  of  AKSHAYAKSHETRAM ASHRAM used to observe the birthday of 42 special persons out of 140 inmates  who are either abandoned or orphaned.  Most of them even do not know their date of birth. 

According to Uday Metha,  when hear about this Ashram I decided to visit this place  for this new year celebration with my friends and family members  and then we planned accordingly  and extended our supports with  Snacks, Sweets and Bed sheets.  

We all were  very happy  and  came  back to Chennai with  entire  satisfaction   and  peace of mind.  Serving needy is not new to Uday Metha because  he is already  adopted himself with  various NGOs and Social Service Organization like Rajasthan Cosmo Club Foundation and Rajasthan Youth Association. He served the community  as President  and as Secretary in various Social Service Organization.   

In  future also  we  will plan  pleasant trips  like this  with friends and  relatives to visit various  orphanages in and around Chennai to make the inmates happy, Says  Chennai based Business man  Uday Metha  with  a smile. Uday Metha have also a request to the  Corporates, I T Sector, Builders   to extend their support to the  various Orphanages  to make them happy and rejoice for a new leap of life to them and to get more confident to live in this wonderful world.
