The photograph shows a woman Police Constable receptionist on duty at the Thirumangalam Police Station. The Receptionist welcomes the visitors with and guide them in the correct way to the concerned police personnel for appropriate action.
This new initiative was introduced at all the Chennai City Police Stations.
The move is part of efforts to make police stations more approachable for the general public.
