Kumari Vinisha Kathiravan to Enliven the City’s Marghazi Season Mood with Bharatanatyam Performances

Keeping in tune with the seasons mood, Kumari Vinisha Kathiravan, disciple of Danseuse Smt. Urmila Sathyanarayanan, is to enthrall the rasikas throughout this Marghazi music season with her solo and group Bharatanatyam performances organised by Indian Fine Arts, Karthik Fine Arts, Bharath Kalachar, Narada Natya Vizha, Chennai Thiruvaiyaru and Kalapradarshini. 

She is going to perform in themes Nritya Samarpanam and Panchali Sabatham along with her Guru Mrs. Urmila Sathyanarayanan. Her solo performance is on the theme Sakthi Manjari. The programmes are scheduled on the dates (1) 20th December 2011 (7 pm) at Balamandir, German Hall, T.Nagar; (2) 24th December 2011 (1 pm) at Kamaraj Arangam; (3) 31st December 2011(7.15 pm) at Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan: (4) 1st January 2012 (7 pm) at Bharath Kalachar; (5) 14th January 2012 (5.40 pm) at Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan; 
 (6) 26th January 2012 (7 pm) at Narada Gana Sabha and (7) 29th January 2012 (6.40 pm) at Narada Gana Sabha. 

Kumari Vinisha Kathiravan, student of Natya Sankalpaa, an Academy of Indian Classical Dance and Music founded by Smt. Urmila Sathyanarayanan - is a child prodigy. She at the age of seven performed a solo classical dance that was well received at a function held to honor playback singer K.J. Yesudas. She has also won many trophies at that young age. Also she has performed in various events of significance including Forty First all India Medical Conference (Medicon-2004); Perur Natyanjali Festival- Coimbatore; Dance Festival at Mamallapuram; Cultural Programmes at IITF Pragathi Maidan, New Delhi; and various productions of Natya Sankalpaa. 

He- solo performance in the Tamil Nadu Tourism Discover India 2011 event fetched he laurels from Honourable Tamil Nadu Tourism Minister Gokula Indira. In the last years she has actively performed in the shows of Hindu Golu Kondatam and Bharath Kalachar and in the on-ground musical shows of Radio One FM during the last two months. 

She was conferred the Guru Pandanallur T.S. Shanmugasundaram Pillai Award by music exponent by Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna. She has also won appreciation from  numerous cultural exponents including Educationist Mrs. Y.G. Parthasarathy and her cine-artiste son Dr. Y.Gee.Mahendran, Danseuses Mrs. Chithra Visweshwara and Dr.Vipanchee Saraswati, yesteryear actress Sachhu,  veteran artist & classical Dr. Vyjayanthimala Bali, Playback singers S. Janaki, S.P. Balasubramaniam, Mano, UnniKrishnan and  Mahathi and Music Director Deva. An eighth standard student of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Hr. Sec. School, Vinisha is an  rounder excelling in literary, sports and cultural activities of her school. 

Also a learner of Carnatic music and Yoga, she has proved her mettle in giving voiceover to many advertisements and singing advertisements, jingles. Devotional albums "SaranamAyyappa" and Dhanvanthri Aradhana stand credit to her singing capability.
