Koyambedu roads gets flooded

Heavy rains continued to lash Chennai city and its suburbs on Friday, 30th December 2011. The roads in Koyambedu market were the worse hit. Vehicles moved at a snail's pace.

Damaged roads, pot holes, stagnated rain water and the ongoing Metro Rail Project works have considerably caused in Koyambedu and other areas. Many low lying areas in North Chennai  came under thick sheets of water.

The motorists and pedestrians had a difficult  task passing the roads in Koyambedu area. Chennai city got heavy showers due to a cyclonic storm formation in the Bay of Bengal. The Cyclone 'Thane' brought heavy rainfall and strong winds.
