Uma had attended a Kitchen Garden programme conducted by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University at Anna Nagar, Chennai. Accordingly, she had raised a plantain tree in a pot 5 months back now it has grown and giving fruits. The photo shows terrace garden of Uma. She has also removed two electrical heaters in my bath room and installed Solar Water Heater costing Rs.26000/- without getting subsidy. The next training programme on “Roof gardening” will be conducted by the TNAU Information and Training Centre on 11.11.2011 (Friday) between 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.
