Chennai Mayor Visited Koyambedu

Acting on Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s direction, Chennai Mayor Saidai S Duraisamy and Deputy Mayor Benjamin conducted an extensive tour along with Ministers of rain-affected areas in the city corporation limits. 

Corporation Commissioner D Karthikeyan accompanied the Mayor and Ministers on their inspection. The Mayor visited CMBT Koyambedu.

The Mayor inspected Ambattur, Thiruvotriyur and Porur, which was recently added to the Chennai Corporation. The Mayor and his team  inspected parts of Mogappair and interacted with the residents.

The  Mayor had also visited the Ambattur and Maduravoyal. He promised residents that steps would be taken to prevent water stagnation at Padikuppam, Ambattur and Nerkundram in Maduravoyal. 

He gave instructions to remove the stagnant rain water. The mayor instructed officials to clear storm water drains in Maduravoyal to prevent water stagnation. He said the Civic Body  would take all steps to prevent flooding during rains.
