A line of small shop was demolished along the 13th Main Road corner of Second Avenue Road on Saturday, 12th November 2011. The shops which were brought down was mostly photo frame and sticker shops.The occupants were informed about the move to bring down the structures, so as to facilitate the Metro Rail Work in progress on Second Avenue Road.
A large Police force was present at the spot while the demolition took place. The shops in the area were demolished using bulldozer.
