Chennai City roads were waterlogged due to heavy showers on Wednesday. The people had to face numerous problems while making their way through the waterlogged School Road.
The problem was further compounded as slush was created due to the ongoing work of laying pipelines in Park Road in Anna Nagar Western Extension.
Motorists had a tough task negotiating many water-logged and potholed stretches.
The rain, as a result of a well-marked low pressure area, threw life out of gear in many part of the city. The Meteorological department said the rain would continue for a few more days.
Many areas, including Aminjikarai, Mogappair, Vyasarpadi, Perambur and Ayanavaram were under sheets of water. The heavy rain slowed down vehicular movement along many roads.
