Restoration Measures To Revive Mangal Eri

After a long time the Mangal Eri in Mogappair has a better look. Today the lake water is restored and protected. 

Tanks to the restoration measures taken by the Ambattur Municipality. The lake was once in a neglected state and awaited attention for several decades. The residents are glad that the project to revive the lake was taken up with concern to the environment. 

The huge lake serves as a good source of groundwater recharge to the neighbouring localities in Mugappair. A compound wall has been constructed along the lake and a walkers path is also provided around the lake for the benefit of the residents. 

The Mangal Eri has a new green and neat look. It is surrounded by greenery and clean environment. Earlier is used to be a placid lake. Keeping in mind Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's announcement of protecting lakes and using them for rain harvesting, the Mangal Eri in Mogappair is sure headed towards better care and good protections. This in deed is a good news for the Mogappair residents.
