The old Koyambedu Round Tana stop has been sifted near Hotel Chennai Gate for the Metropolitan Transport Corporation buses which are going towards Anna Nagar, Arumbakkam, Avadi and Parrys.
This has been done so as to decongest traffic along 100 Feet Road and Koyambedu Market road intersection.
The Traffic Police says that vehicles get caught in traffic jams along Koyambedu 100 Feet Road stretch frequently irrespective of whether it is peak or non-peak hours.
Traffic Police said shifting bus stops from congested points to better spacious locations has eased congestion in and around Chennai city.
