Driving past the Retteri signal junction at Perambur-Red Hills Road and Inner Ring Road intersection will be an easy driving experience in the near future. A six lane flyover has been proposed the be built at this intersection. At the Kolathur intersection the flyover will be six lane having four lanes on both sides of the center median for two was traffic movement.
The Retteri Signal junction at Kolathur is a major busy stop which witnesses constant heavy vehicle traffic movement on all directions Motorists taking the Inner Ring Road here start their day an hour before others.
To avoid traffic snarls at the Retteri junction a flyover has been proposed, since vehicles from Red Hills get lined up one behind the other waiting the green signal. With the opening of the Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus at Koyambedu, traffic has increased on Inner Ring Road.
