A long pending demand of the Anna Nagar Western Extension area residents is for the Metropolitan Transport Corporation officials to provide adequate and regular bus service through Park Road. Mr. MS.Varadarajan, Secretary of Anna Nagar Senior Citizens Welfare Association and long time resident of Park Road suggested that MTC authorities could easily operate buses going towards Ambattur Estate and Padi through Park Road for the benefit of the area residents. The Anna Nagar Western Extension Association also request MTC to restore the withdrawn routes namely, 7C, 27, 47H etc which are now diverted other places from the Anna Nagar West Terminus. The residents of Anna Nagar West aloes want additional services on route number 24A, 15A, 15D and 15 going via 6th Avenue road and East Anna Nagar. New bus services from the Anna Nagar West Terminus to Perambur, Poonamallee, Thiruvakadu, Tambaram and Ayanavaram is the need of the hour.
