A one day general health camp was organized by Shri Krishnaswamy College for Women, Anna Nagar jointly with Pudhiya Thalaimurai Trust & Lions Club of Madras, Pasumpon on 15th September 2011.
The chief guest, Mrs.Kokila Indira, Minister for Tourism, inaugurated the camp by lighting the Kuthuvilakku. The health camp included general health, cancer awareness, eye camp, dental camp, diabetology, physiotherapy and obesity. Pudhya Thalaimurai Trust partnered with Global Trust Hospitals and Agarwal Eye clinic in this venture.
Multi Vitamins syrups & tablets were sponsored by Lions club of Madras, Pasumpon. The welcome address was given by Dr.K.P.Malthi shiri, Principal,
Shri Krishnaswamy College, While Mr.Subramaniam, Dean, SRM University, Vadapalani campus & Lion A.V.Kumaresan Chair Person, Lions Club of Madras, Pasumpon spoke on the needs and importance of health awareness. Mr.Gowtham Buddha & Mr. Kavidas, Volunteers, Pudhya Thalaimurai Trust played a significant role in the conducting of the camp. The NSS programme officer Dr.M.Girija & Mrs. Chankrika, contributed their mind and muscle in detailing and executing the event. Over 250 people were the beneficiaries of the health camp.
