The Padi Railway Station wears a deserted and neglected. It has become like a ghost station, where there are no passengers and no train service. The train station at Padi is lying abandoned and forgotten.
The Anna Nagar railway station was inaugurated on October 2, 2003, with services run between Anna Nagar and Beach station.
Today the railway station has a neglected look with dirty surroundings. Many are hopping that the railway authorities would re-start the train services
