Dr. Aruna Shanmuganathan, MD (Chest), DNB (Respiratory Diseases) has been organising a series of special camps for the people with breathing related disorders and recurrent cough/cold. These symptoms get aggravated due to change in weather and during the monsoon season. Patients can take precautionary measures for a healthier lifestyle this monsoon season and reduces the symptoms.
An Asthma Screening Camp was conducted at Dr.Aruna Shanmuganathan Chest Clinic, No-901, J Block, Anna Nagar West on Saturday, 17th September 2011 from 5 to 8pm. The camp was offered at a subsidized package of a reasonable amount which consisted of all medical tests and treatment. The health camp consisted of an examination and assessment followed by a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) by expert technicians.
The patients were examined again with the results of the PFT by a highly qualified Chest Specialist and appropriate and effective treatment was recommended. When the treatment involved the use of inhalational therapy, then the patients was educated and trained in using the equipment.
