Encourage Students And Be Good Role Models!

The 5th September, Monday 2011 was  celebrated as Teachers Day. It is essential for teachers to realise that they are appointed by God and to teach and guide students in the right direction. A teacher is therefore accountable to God for his or her work. A teacher has to be thorough in the subject and keep on updating knowledge.

Teaching is a noble profession, as teachers interact with students. Good teachers helps to build up the personality, self-respect, abilities and encourages students to realise their potentials and acquire knowledge and skills.

Teachers need to be good role models  to students in every way. Teachers not teach subjects they also help in building up of character, by their example. An efficient and good teacher is always wins the respect of students.

It is important for teachers to appreciate the pupils , praise them for their achievements and good qualities. Teachers should avoid disgrace to pupils by giving them unkind degrading punishments. But teachers need to help students who have poor memory, improve their skills and knowledge in the subject matter.

All teachers can pray for students who are poor in studies, physically weak to do well in their studies. Finally happy are the teachers who have served God faithfully through their profession.

They will hear the precious words of God. In India, 5 September  is celebrated as Teachers, It is the birthday of the former President of India, academic philosopher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan..
