The first anniversary, Elders day celebration and the Annual General Body meeting of Anna Nagar Senior Citizens Welfare Association took place on 15th August 2011. During the meeting K.Chandrasekaran was elected as President, A.Chockalingam as Vice-President, MS.Varadarajan as Secretary, M.Elumalai as Joint Seretary and S.Rangan as Treasurer.
Dr.KS.Palaniswami, Dr.R.Rangasami, JMS.Nagarjunan, K..Purushothaman, K.Karuppannan and K.Balasubramanian were elected as Governing Body Members. B.Perumal, 86 years old, the oldest member in the association was honoured in view of World Elders Day which falls on 1st October.
