24 Hours Adoration Chapel In Chennai City

The First Anniversary of the erecting of the Eucharistic Chapel and Bell Tower at St.Patrick’s Church, St.Thomas Mount was celebrated on 8-08-2011.To mark the event the Eucharistic Chapel was elevated to the status of Perpetual Adoration Chapel ( 24 hours adoration Chapel). Rt.Rev. Dr.A..Neethinathan, Bishop of Chingleput, 

The Auxiliary Bishop, Rt.Rev.Dr.Lawerence Pius of Madras-Mylapore Archdiocese celebrated  the Holy Mass after  which the Chapel was elevated to 24 hours Adoration Chapel. The Parish Priest of St.Patrick’s Church, Fr.G.Backiya Regis was also present in this holy occasion. 

The Chapel will be kept open for prayers and adorations through the day and night. 6am to 10pm is for common and silent prayers and from 10 pm to 6am is for group prayers by families. Birthdays and Wedding Anniversary day’s prayers can be held at 12pm (Midnight).There is a request box at the chapel for Prayers request and petitions. 

Prayer Warriors or interceders will pray for the intensions during the time allotted for intercessory prayers.  Those who want to come and pray at night with heir families or friends can register their names in a book kept inside the Chapel.
