Wider Bridge For Better Connectivity

The Mogappair area residents stated that a new wider bridge over the cooum will provide better connectivity to  Mogappair from  Poonamallee High Road, near  Nerkundram.The need for  a new bridge has been a long-pending demand for the residents. 

The existing road-level bridge is low lying and narrow. It is in a dilapidated state. The bridge does not have parapet walls on either side and poses a  risk to users of the stretch, particularly at night.There is an urgent need to build a new bridge, since the existing old bridge is unable o cope up with the increasing traffic movement.

The motorists and pedestrians have to be very cautious while using the bridge. The new bridge will be helpful in easy connectivity towards Mogappair East Main Road,  Tirumangalam and to Poonamallee High Road in Nerkundram. It can even be made a bus-route road from Nerkundram and Maduravoyal to Ambattur Industrial Estate.
