The members of Loka Dharma Seva Foundation Trust, organized their 66 month Temple Cleaning, uzhavarapani, at Arulmigu Bala Murugan Temple, Porur, on Sunday, 29 May, 2011.Thirty Members actively participated in the temple cleaning project.. On arrival Dr. R. Subramanian spoke about the significance of the Temple, its much beliefs with the devotees.
He explained a plan for cleaning. He also explained a need of Spiritual Satsangh to be organized in each temple about the concerned God.108 oil lamps were lighted in front of Arulmigu Bala Murugan by Ladies. Iluppa Oil Lamps [Brought by Sri. Venkatesan of Nanganallur] were lighted at Bairavar Sannadhi. All sannadhis were cleaned with detergents and water both inside and out side.
The outer wall of main sannadhi , ceilings were cleaned with water.The top portion of moolavar entrance, where dirt accumulated was cleaned washed with water, along with name boards. Nava graham sannadhi was cleaned with water. The temple lamps, puja items, Arches and temple vessels were cleaned with tamarind, washed and polished with Pitambari.
Finally whole floor area was cleaned with detergent and water and Rangolis were put in all sannadhis. A sumptuous Lunch was provided by Sri. Srinivasan and family. The Foundation organizes many regularTemple Cleaning Projects for all small and medium Temples in and around Chennai, Renovation of Temples that have structural damages and needs maintenance, Recitation of Religious slokas, verses and songs with participation of Devotees, Special welfare projects for Temple Priests , Pujaris and Temple and their families, Spiritual Education programmes in Hindu Dharma Studies.
