Shanthi Colony which was earlier a quite residential colony, today it is a sprawling commercial spot. The colony has many shops and other establishments. It has become a highly sought out upscale spot in Anna Nagar. The traffic movement is increasing daily The traffic intersection along Anna Nagar Third Avenue and Shanthi Colony Main Road has become a very bust junction. There are commercial establishments all through out Shanthi Colony main road in Anna Nagar.
At many places there are no proper pavement for pedestrians to walk upon. With the constructed median where there is also no easy and safe provision for crossing the road.
