The Chennai City Traffic Police has installed road safety tips at various traffic signal junctions in the city. The photograph shows a hoarding at the Poonamallee High Road junction, near Anna Arch, advising motorists not to use their mobile phone, while driving making or receiving a call, even using a hands-free phone, can distract your attention from driving and could lead to an accident. A number of road safety awareness campaigns and events are regularly organized by the Traffic Police, which mentioned the importance of obeying the traffic rules and to cooperating with the traffic police. The Chennai Traffic Police always try to bring new concepts and ideas to make people understand the importance to follow road safety rules.
