The photo shows motorists ignoring the No Entry sign board along 15th Main Road, near the 13th Main Road intersection, Anna Nagar, Chennai -40. In spite of cameras and Police monitoring, motorists still continue to violate road traffic rules, posing a danger to other road users. There is unregulated traffic movement at the junction of 13th Main Road and 15th Main Road intersection in Anna Nagar West.
Due to which pedestrians, senior citizens and children find it difficult to cross the road. The volume of traffic is very high at this intersection during peak hours.
Heavy vehicles taking a narrow turn towards Second Avenue Road at the 15th Main Road junction often poses a grave danger, especially as vehicles entering from 13th Main Road, also halt at the spot. Vehicles criss-cross the junction at top speed, residents complain.
There is practically no traffic regulation. Of late even MTC buses make use of this route to avoid waiting at the Thirumangalam signal junction.
