The photo taken shows a roofless Chintamani MTC bus stop on Anna Nagar Second Avenue Road. In Chennai city there are quite a few number of Metropolitan Transport Corporation bus stops with out proper bus shelters. In Anna Nagar there a number of busy and important bus stops along Second Avenue Road and East Anna Nagar without a suitable roof for quite some time. Sometimes people stand a wait under the shade of a tree, nearby the MTC bus stop.
The Metropolitan Transport Corporation authorities needs to identify the number of roofless bus stops and take measures to replace the shelters at the bus stops after the existing shelters were removed for the benefit of the public
