Hazardous Spot!

There are dangerous opening for the pedestrian on pavement like open manholes and EB junction boxes. The photo shows on such open manhole along Inner Ring Road, Thirumangalam. This hazardous spot  can cause sever injuries to anyone who accidentally steps into it. 

The residents told  that immediate action is required by the concerned authorities to close the open manhole with a lid , before anyone could become a victim to electrocution.

Keeping in mind public safety, let the authorities do the job in all areas where ever such open manholes exist which is  posing  a hazard to the pedestrians. A box and a stick is used as  warning signs. It is quite deep.

“Someone could easily break a leg or an ankle. There are a lot of old people live nearby the area.

The residents hope that the  matter will be looked into and relevant action will be taken.”
