Road name boards help in easy identification of a particular street, or road. The old method of erecting cement boards at street ends will soon be a thing of the past, with new stylish boards being erected. The new boards are bigger and the text writer are clearly visible. The photo shows a new road name board installed at Anna Nagar Second Avenue.
As part of the city beautification measures, the Chennai Corporation has installed latest and attractive road name display boards in English and Tamil on all city roads and at important junctions. More bus route roads would get such boards later.
Almost of the city roads have got reflector type boards, which has a glowing effect when the vehicle lights focuses on it.
