Ultraviolette Builds on BIGGA Factory Momentum with New UV Space Station in Chennai

Ultraviolette Automotive announced the launch of a new UV Space Station in Porur, marking a significant milestone in the company's expanding retail footprint across emerging mobility markets in India. The expansion comes at a pivotal phase in Ultraviolette's growth journey, following the announcement of the company's BIGGA (Big Global Ambition) Factory, the introduction of the Battery Flex (BaaS) platform, and the launch of the X-47 Crossover. With this addition, the company strengthens customer access to its performance-oriented vehicles in Tamil Nadu while further reinforcing its growing national presence as it scales its manufacturing, product, and customer ecosystem across the country.

The newly established UV Space Station, in partnership with M/s. Savirro Motors LLP, will provide customers with a comprehensive experience to explore Ultraviolette's performance motorcycles, including the X-47 Crossover and F77s. Designed as an immersive brand destination, the facility will offer test rides, sales consultations, product demonstrations, and access to an extensive range of motorcycle accessories under one roof.

The experience centre will showcase Ultraviolette's flagship performance motorcycles, the X-47 and F77s. The products redefine electric performance with a powertrain delivering 40.2 hp and 100 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0-60 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. Powered by a 10.3 kWh battery pack, the motorcycles offer an IDC-certified range of up to 323 km on a single charge.

Commenting on the launch, Narayan Subramaniam, Co-founder & CEO, Ultraviolette, said “This is an exciting time for us as we expand across Chennai with the launch of our third space station here. Tamil Nadu offers an ideal environment for us to build and scale globally competitive mobility solutions from India. As we scale our manufacturing through our recently announced BIGGA Factory, we are equally focused on building a strong physical presence that brings Ultraviolette closer to our community. Chennai, with its deep-rooted automotive legacy and rapidly evolving urban landscape, is an important part of this journey. Our new UV Space Station in Porur creates a destination where riders and enthusiasts can experience the technology, design, and performance that define Ultraviolette.”

Built on Ultraviolette's deep engineering expertise and platform-led innovation, the X-47 Crossover is the world's first electric motorcycle in its segment to offer radar as standard. Designed for versatile riding, it features a 5-inch TFT display, three ride modes, long-travel suspension, and industry-first radial all-terrain tyres, delivering confidence and control across varied conditions.

The motorcycle is powered by UV Radar Intelligence and the UV HyperSense Advanced Rider Assistance System, enabled by a 77 GHz rear radar that supports features such as blind-spot detection, lane-change assist, overtake alerts, and rear-collision warnings. It also incorporates an integrated dashcam and the world's most power-dense air-cooled onboard charger, developed entirely in-house by Ultraviolette.

Reinforcing its commitment to scaling next-generation electric mobility, Ultraviolette recently announced its BIGGA (Big Global Ambition) Factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, a new manufacturing facility designed to significantly expand production capacity, support its growing product portfolio, and accelerate the company's ambitions across India and international markets. Equipped with advanced manufacturing technologies and planned for phased capacity expansion, the facility represents a major investment in Tamil Nadu's manufacturing ecosystem and further strengthens Ultraviolette's industrial and innovation footprint in the state. Complementing this growth, the company also introduced Battery Flex (BaaS), a flexible ownership model that enables customers to own the X-47 starting at ₹1,49,000, with battery subscriptions beginning at ₹2,323 per month. By separating vehicle and battery ownership costs, Battery Flex makes advanced electric mobility more accessible while offering greater flexibility and convenience.

Swiggy Dineout turns GIRF into The Great Indian Ravi Festival with Ravi Kishan

Swiggy, India’s pioneering on-demand convenience platform announced the return of Swiggy Dineout’s flagship dining property, the Great Indian Restaurant Festival (GIRF) but with a twist. This year, GIRF has been reimagined as The Great Indian Ravi Festival, built entirely around the internet's current obsession, Ravi Kishan. The campaign is anchored by the line "Discount Followsss My Brothaaaar", a twist on one of Ravi Kishan's most viral dialogues, tying the internet's favourite movement directly to GIRF's core promise: unbeatable dining discounts. This edition of GIRF will be live from September 14, 2026 to October 24, 2026. Customers can enjoy up to 50% off across 57,000+ restaurants in 84+ cities across India, including a range of cafés, pubs, bars, luxury dining and family restaurants. Diners can also get an additional 10% instant discount on all HDFC Bank cards, along with 10% back as DineCash on every booking made through Dineout.

The renaming of GIRF is much more than a branding exercise. It is Swiggy Dineout's response to a cultural moment that is already unfolding online. Ravi Kishan, a household name in Indian cinema for decades, has recently been trending across social channels with his dialogues, expressions and mannerisms remixed and shared widely by a wide generation of internet users. Swiggy Dineout has not just tapped into that moment, it has built an entire festival around it.

As part of the campaign, Ravi Kishan moves beyond the role of a conventional brand ambassador to become the face, voice and personality of the entire festival. The flagship campaign film reimagines him as a larger-than-life figure, a philosopher dispensing his own brand of life wisdom, weaving in recognisable internet-favourite references such as "Jaldi the Late" and "Home from Work" into the world of dining out, in a style that mirrors the content his fans already love him for.

Speaking on GIRF, Dhruvish Thakkar, AVP Marketing and Revenue, Swiggy Dineout said, "GIRF continues to be one of India's largest dining movements, and every year our aim is to meet consumers where they already are. We have partnered with trending personalities and internet icons for GIRF over the last few years. This time, we have gone a step further by rechristening GIRF as Great Indian Ravi Festival. Ravi Kishan isn't just having a moment right now — he is the moment and has been trending across social media for the past few weeks! This is the reason why instead of simply riding that wave, we decided to build this year's entire festival around him. We hope that GIRF in its new avatar will appeal to a larger audience, as the discount really does follow the brothaa.”

The festival spans across 84+ cities including India's established dining capitals like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai, alongside emerging culinary destinations including Goa, Jaipur, Indore, Coimbatore, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Udaipur.

This edition features participation from leading brands including Good Flippin' Burgers, Punjab Grill, YouMee, One 8 Commune, Mainland China, Paradise Biryani and Absolute Barbecues among other popular dining destinations.

The Great Indian Ravi Festival will roll out across digital, social and creator ecosystems, alongside in-app storytelling formats on the Dineout platform, with Ravi Kishan integrated throughout the campaign to make him feel as omnipresent across the festival as he currently is across the internet.

25 Young Chess Aspirants Live Their Dream, Take on Magnus Carlsen

The clocks were ticking, the boards were set, and across them sat some of the biggest names in chess. 25 young chess players from Bengaluru and Chennai, aged 13 to 19, got the chance fulfill their dream and play against World No. 1 and five-time World Champion Magnus Carlsen, Indian chess icon Koneru Humpy, Indian Grandmaster Vidit Gujrathi and Indian Grandmaster Pravin Mahadeo Thipsay at the YiPPee! Checkmate Challenge, held at ITC Windsor, Bengaluru.

Vivaan Sachdev was named the best player of the YiPPee! Checkmate Challenge by Grandmaster Pravin Thipsey, coach of the Alpine APL Pipers, after holding the strongest board position against three Grandmasters. For the other young players, it was a chance to step into an environment where every move mattered and put their own skills to the test. The challenge was about more than finding the right move. It was about holding their nerve, trusting their instincts and staying composed under pressure, bringing the intensity of high-level chess closer to a new generation of players.

Magnus Carlsen from Alpine APL Pipers said, “It is always nice to see the joy that kids have in chess. The young players here were very good, and you could see the amount of energy and effort they brought to the games. It was great to see them get the opportunity to play and experience chess in this way.”

While the children walked away with memories that will last a lifetime, the event was equally special for their parents and coaches. Watching their children sit across the board from global champions such as Magnus Carlsen, Koneru Humpy and Divya Deshmukh was a proud and gratifying moment.

Atul Pujar, Head of Marketing, Snacks and Noodles, Foods Division, ITC Ltd., said, “It was wonderful to see the excitement and confidence of the young participants as they played against some of the biggest names in world chess. As a brand it is our constant endeavour to support and inspire young minds of India, and we are happy to have played a small part to bring these kids closer to their dreams”.

The opportunity was created through YiPPee!’s Cook. Share. Checkmate! contest, which ran from August 26 to September 2 across Bengaluru and Chennai. Chess enthusiasts aged 13 to 19 were invited to make a bowl of YiPPee! noodles and share a memorable chess moment, with 25 finalists selected for the Checkmate Challenge. The initiative is also part of #BeyondTheMove, YiPPee!’s campaign celebrating the passion, stories and experiences that go beyond every move on the chessboard.

Galaxy Health Insurance introduces ‘Galaxy Twin360’ – India’s first IPD + OPD plan to improve long-term health insurance adoption and retention

Galaxy Health Insurance, India’s youngest standalone health insurer promoted by TVS Family Mr Venu Srinivasan and the family of industry veteran Mr V. Jagannathan, today announced the launch of Galaxy Twin 360, a first-of-its-kind engaging health insurance programme for young adults aged 18–45 years. The product comes with three plans: Core, Max & Ultra, which integrates comprehensive inpatient (IPD) protection, high-value outpatient (OPD) benefits and wellness services, addressing a key challenge in long-term health insurance adoption and retention.

Urban Indians spend an average of 15,000 to 20,000 annually on OPD services such as doctor consultations, pharmacy, and diagnostics. At the same time, a significant number of young adults lapse their policies after the first year, largely because hospitalisation events are rare and premiums are perceived as money spent without tangible return.

Galaxy Twin 360 addresses this behavioural gap by allowing policyholders to use OPD benefits equal to the premium paid, ensuring real value every year, regardless of hospitalisation. This approach is designed to boost policy renewal, long-term adoption, and overall healthcare engagement.

Mr. G. Srinivasan, MD & CEO, Galaxy Health Insurance, said, “Galaxy Twin 360 is built on a simple idea – health insurance should be useful every day, not only during hospitalisation. Young adults often discontinue health insurance because they do not see value when they do not make a claim. Galaxy Twin 360 changes that narrative. By combining IPD protection, OPD benefits, preventive wellness services and digital health tools, the plan ensures insurance is useful every day, making coverage relevant, practical, and financially efficient.”
